To our Always BeCause community,
After an incredible journey, we’ve made the decision to pause Always BeCause for now. The app will remain active until Aug. 31, before we take some time to step back and wind things down.
When we started Always BeCause, we had a simple hope: to make it a little easier for people to give back and support causes that matter. What we didn’t expect was the incredible community that would grow around that idea.
Every person who downloaded the app, shared a post, supported a campaign, made a contribution or simply told someone about Always BeCause became part of our story.
We’re incredibly proud of what we created together and deeply grateful for the people we met, the causes we supported and the memories we made along the way.
This isn’t goodbye forever. We don’t know exactly what the future holds, but we hope this isn’t the last you hear from us.
Until then, keep giving back, keep supporting the causes you care about and keep making a difference in whatever way you can.

Gillian’s Place is a leading non-profit organization in the Niagara region dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing gender-based violence. It provides comprehensive, trauma-informed services to women, children, and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals who are fleeing abuse or navigating unsafe situations.
Key services include a 24/7 emergency shelter with 34 beds, confidential crisis support via phone, text, or online chat, legal advocacy, individual and group counselling, transitional and second-stage housing, and children and youth programs that promote healing in safe, supportive environments. Gillian’s Place also actively works to prevent violence through public education campaigns and partnerships with schools and local organizations.
With a focus on safety, empowerment, and long-term stability, Gillian’s Place plays a critical role in helping survivors rebuild their lives free from violence.

Our 15th Cause Campaign focused on safety, healing, and empowerment—raising $73.06 for Gillian’s Place, a leading organization in Niagara dedicated to supporting survivors of gender-based violence.
Gillian’s Place provides emergency shelter, 24/7 crisis support, legal advocacy, trauma-informed counselling, transitional housing, and children’s programs for women, children, and individuals experiencing abuse. Their work is critical in helping survivors escape violence, access resources, and rebuild their lives with dignity and support.
