Gillian’s Place is a leading non-profit organization in the Niagara region dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing gender-based violence. It provides comprehensive, trauma-informed services to women, children, and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals who are fleeing abuse or navigating unsafe situations.
Key services include a 24/7 emergency shelter with 34 beds, confidential crisis support via phone, text, or online chat, legal advocacy, individual and group counselling, transitional and second-stage housing, and children and youth programs that promote healing in safe, supportive environments. Gillian’s Place also actively works to prevent violence through public education campaigns and partnerships with schools and local organizations.
With a focus on safety, empowerment, and long-term stability, Gillian’s Place plays a critical role in helping survivors rebuild their lives free from violence.
