To our Always BeCause community,
After an incredible journey, we’ve made the decision to pause Always BeCause for now. The app will remain active until Aug. 31, before we take some time to step back and wind things down.
When we started Always BeCause, we had a simple hope: to make it a little easier for people to give back and support causes that matter. What we didn’t expect was the incredible community that would grow around that idea.
Every person who downloaded the app, shared a post, supported a campaign, made a contribution or simply told someone about Always BeCause became part of our story.
We’re incredibly proud of what we created together and deeply grateful for the people we met, the causes we supported and the memories we made along the way.
This isn’t goodbye forever. We don’t know exactly what the future holds, but we hope this isn’t the last you hear from us.
Until then, keep giving back, keep supporting the causes you care about and keep making a difference in whatever way you can.

Since 1986, we’ve provided vital services to the communities of Port Colborne, Wainfleet and surrounding areas. Our aim is to provide help, hope and opportunity to all to achieve their potential and improve their quality of life.

Our eighth Cause Campaign continued our mission of supporting local organizations that uplift and empower, raising $75.65 for Port Cares. With each campaign, we deepen our commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities across Niagara.
Port Cares provides critical support to individuals and families in Port Colborne and beyond, offering services such as food assistance, housing support, employment counseling, and early childhood programs. Their Reach Out Centre is a safe haven where people can access hot meals, resources, and compassionate care and the EarlyON program offers free, high-quality early learning opportunities, parenting resources, and play-based activities for children and caregivers—building strong foundations for lifelong success.
We’re proud to support Port Cares in their work to restore stability and dignity to those in need. Every dollar raised is a step toward lasting impact—one cause at a time.
